The Peugeot 5008 is a series of compact crossover SUV automobiles produced by the French manufacturer Peugeot since 2009. It shares several features with Peugeot 3008.

The first generation was introduced in 2009 which later received a facelift in 2012 in which PureTech three-cylinder petrol engines were introduced.

The second generation was introduced in 2017 which was essentially an upgraded version of 3008. It had more seating capacity and a longer wheelbase than the 3008. It also received a facelift in 2020.

Exterior

The Peugeot 5008 2020 facelift flaunts a bold and modern exterior with a sleek and high-tech design. The front end houses a frameless radiator grille with gloss black side scoops and a lower bumper trim which give it a seamless and powerful look. The full LED headlamps with SDL function are coupled with illuminated fang-shaped LED daytime running lights (DRL).

MG HS lies in the same price range and shares all the features of Peugeot 5008. The only downside of MG HS is that its 1.5L engine cannot compete with that of 5008.

Hyundai Tucson also gives fierce competition as it supersedes Peugeot 5008 with its 2.0L engine. It is also more affordable than 5008.

Kia Sportage is a lot cheaper than Peugeot 5008 due to which both have strong competition in the market. Kia Sportage also has a 2.0L engine which might be more in capacity but is less in power than that of Peugeot 5008’s engine.
